If you use SOBI2 extension, you will see that it has a nice feature called custom fields . However, the limitation of custom fields feature in SOBI2 is that the fields are used for all category, not for individual category .
In the reality, In a business directory, the custom fields usually defend on categories . For example , Restaurant category and Pubs category should have diffirence set of custom fields . That is why our team do the customization of SOBI2 to improve this nice feature .

Using the our modification of SOBI2, you can :
- Assign custom fied to categories . Each custom field can belong to multi- categories
- When users add a SOBI2 item to a category or edit a SOBI2 item, only custom fields belong to this category will be displayed.
- When users view a SOBI2 item, only custom field belong to the category which this item belong to will be showed .
- On SOBI2 search page, only custom fields belong to selected category will be showed .

The only limitation of this customzation is that each SOBI2 item need to belong to only one category .
