 Joomla! Day Norway 2008

The Norwegian Joomla! Community eagerly awaits its second annual Joomla! Day Norway to be held April 26, 2008, at the Papirbredden in Drammen. The Papirbredden is not only a beautiful facility, but it is also a fitting venue for a Joomla! Day event. It is the city's center of knowledge, boasting a unique library, career center, and research facilities available to students, researchers, and entrepreneurs. The city of Drammen is also ideal, being only 45 minutes from Oslo. It's an easy commute for those Joomla! Day attendees who wish to also visit Norway's capital city.

The program for Joomla! Day Norway 2008 is guaranteed to interest those who wish to learn more about Joomla!. Chris Davenport, Joomla! Core team member and Documentation Working Group Coordinator, will talk about contributing to Joomla! and ways that the community is working to encourage participation. Wilco Jansen, Joomla! Core Team member and Development Team Coordinator, will present information on the development team, Bug Squad, Joomla! 1.6 white papers, and the future of Joomla! software. In addition, a representative from the new Norwegian Competence Center for Free Software will speak at the event about advancements in free and open source software.

Joomla! Day events are a time for strengthening the Joomla! community, learning about emerging technology, networking with others of like interest, and just plain having fun. Congratulations to the Norwegian Joomla! community and we look forward to seeing pictures and hearing the positive reactions to Joomla! Day Norway 2008.
