Reviews (20)The templates Yootheme produce are great. Clean code, optimised and the designs are very slick. However, irrespective of how great their themes are the support they offer is absolutely HORRENDOUS. Create a post on their forum, you\'ll be lucky to get a response. When you do get a response, its some half-a**ed attempt which normally just points you at their documentation. The documentation, though, is weak, badly written and convoluted. My advice is, if you aren\'t savvy with CSS and modifying Joomla templates, stay away from them. If I could give less than \"1\" here for support, I\'d be giving Yootheme -10. YooThemes are my end-all Solution to creating new Joomla sites efficiently with beautiful results. My website has been revamped several times over the last 6 years and it always takes months for my programmers/developers to fine-tune the layout/functionality to my liking. Well after installing YooTheme VOX Feb 10 Template, it\'s been a walk in the park. Quick set-up, great functionality, decent flexibility, and beautiful look. Perhaps the best part of the whole experience with YOOThemes is the support! I have e-mailed other companies in that past and may never heard back from them, however with YooThemes they have a whole support team that answers me inquiries within 2 days always! It\'s a nice safety net and piece of mind to know if I screw something up or my programmer can\'t figure out a solution I can shoot YooThemes an e-mail for some advice. Thanks for making such a robust Joomla template and for also providing excellent support! Ok, the support is NOT as bad as everyone complains about. YOO simply expects you to search the forums and read/watch the docs before asking for support. I\'ve been a web designer for only a year and have no problems using YOO. If I could rate them 12 on Quality I would. There designs are the most creative while remaining clean and uncluttered. I use YOO and Bamboo the most. I belong to both the Joomlart and YOOtheme template clubs. Joomlart themes are a little more complex in some respects, but THEY WORK EVERY TIME. Not so YOOtheme. I am currently dealing with at YOOtheme template that (unintentionally) kills the new user self-registration function. This is a significant core issue for any Joomla website. Have they addressed it on their \"support\" forum? No. Have they responded to the email I sent to \"custom@yootheme.com\" after waiting a week for any kind of response from anybody on their joke of a support forum? No. Nice looking designs, but I won\'t be renewing my \"Platinum\" club membership. This is how I earn my living. I can\'t afford to be a \"fanboy\" of theirs. If they will not support their product, then they are unprofessional. I don\'t work with unprofessionals if I can help it. There are other template clubs. The looks are great! Magnificent designs. However, it is not very easy to finetune to your own needs if you are not an experienced Joomla/template user. Unfortunately the tutorials on their site are not always up to date and mostly uncomplete or absent. Their support is absolutely terrible! Many forum questions stay neglected. They did a good job hiding their contact e-mail address on their site. I payed but didn\'t receive login details. I am still waiting for a reply. Membership is not very cheap, so I would expect at least a trustworthy and professional support. I have been a member of this club for a while now. Their templates are very nice in their visual appeal but there is not much practicality to them. The forum support is not adequate and it is next to impossible to get a response from them through the contact form of their web site. Setting up demo sites is cumbersome. But, web 2.0 features are top of the online! I may not renew my membership this year. Thank you for reading! this is for herdboy and PINC, lol, hey guys posting on your own product haha, guys you should explain that the yootheme templates and extentions are the best out there for the joomla platform, also the service is great and the price is right. by the way when they state each month one NEW template, this is right on time and you can view the new stuff on day 1 of the new month, overal score 10/10 from yoda! I\'m a Club Member in three Template Clubs (Rockettheme, Joomlart & Yootheme) and have to say that the Yootheme Templates are the best in technical way. The automatical module proportions are a genius feature which make the website creation much easier. You should be a little be experienced in Joomla because of two reasons: 1) The customization of the templates is a liitle bit harder than in other templateclubs. The reason for this is that Yootheme works with a lot of graphics in its templates and less with CSS commands. So you have often to change the graphics (for example a .gif file) in the color you want and not only the CSS command from f.e. #000000 to #ffffff. But in the other hand just the graphics lets look the Yootheme templates so professional. 2) The support isn\'t as good as f.e. Rockettheme, but it isn\'t so bad which is often described here. Most of all questions are answerded by the mods or the community, but it is true that the response time is a little bit to long. The price is high for not-europeans because the currency rate between dollar-euro is bad for non-euro customers. For europeans the price is normal. I can highly recommend Yootheme if you have experience with Joomla and CSS, Yootheme produces the best looking and best technical (much less bugs in the templates compared with Joomlart) templates out there! Excellent templates, MISERABLE SUPPORT. YT creates innovative, alluring templates, but can\'t provide basic support to make them usable. I\'m a knowledgeable Joomla user and only need clarification on two issues. I\'ve been waiting ONE MONTH in their forum for a straight-forward answer. This is my second experience with them, same as the first. Sad! This is the Ultimate Joomla template Framework. The innovation behind this new framework results in a template with unlimited output options which simply menas that this template can be deployed to virtually any type of website. The propotionate module options are very, very versatile indeed. I can\'t wait to see what YOOthme delivers every month... Amazing designs, 100% working with Joomla 1.5 templates, in comparison with rockettheme bizarre support for Joomla 1.5 which is completely unacceptable, yootheme support is great, You need to take your time reading solution on forum before posting new topics. A little bit expensive and feeling sad because some of my current hosting providers do not provide Joomla 1.5 support, also they just stop making templates for joomla 1.XX, maybe too soon. Yootheme seems to be a solid up-and-coming template company. Where the \"but\" comes in is with their support. The only way I can find to get support in their forums and the question I posted so far has yet to be answered. This is why I\'m giving their support a lower score. I\'ve been using joomla templates for awhile now. It took 6 installs to get it going because there were so many bugs. I was unable to install the one I really wanted with demo content because that would not install at all and there was little to no support. I cannot in good conscience recommend that anyone use this company or their products. Compared to other template companies I\'ve worked with this was just an awful and time consuming experience.
