Re:adjusted discussbot like on this site 1 Year ago
Hey there,

I guess I didn't explain myself well.

For the image question my issue is I want the image to match the other aspecst of my page. I'll just find yours and replace--should have been obvious to em in the first place!

For the positioning question it is important to me to have the comment link up near the top. My initial thought was that the manual override would give me what I need--maybe it does and I just haven't figured it out yet--I'll keep playing with it.

Very cool bot--I'm so glad I dumped the old one...

Thanks!

Hmmm, I'll have to look at that!

If you're just getting started with this bot you may be interested to try the new one - I'm fishing for people to test it out...

Lol, No, it probably doesn't. I assume that the one you have that does has custom code in it to make it do something with JEvents.

It doesnt work for me anymore, when I put my mouse over the discussbot link it shows this:

javascript:document.getElementById('first3'.submit();

I read someone earlier had similar problem, but was it fixed? How can i fix it to work again, it doesnt create a new topic, it just reloads the page im at.

Yeah, a user named iosoft had that problem - that's the right javascript under the link. It tells the bot to post back to the current page and start a new thread for this item. After that it should display the new post.

iosoft was using a caching add-on that buggered stuff up. Check the forum to see if there's really a thread or not..
