I am using Fireboard 1.0.3 with Joomla 1.0.13.

My question is with the discussBot. I have some articles linked (using the DiscussBot) to a forum that has registered only privileges. The article is public.

If you are not logged in to the site you can still click on the DiscussBot link and post to the board. When it redirects you get the "your not authorized to view...." but the posting is there.

I changed the settings on the DiscussBot to registered, but now you see the {mos_fb_discuss:catid}in the article.

I don't want to change the Fireboard setting to registered only because there are public forums as well.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try the auto settings. That way there are no tags in any of your articles... This might work for you as long as all articles in section or category can be discussed.

Where is the auto setting? The DiscussBot hasn't any parameters and Fireboard only offers to enable it. I assume I should be able to set to auto and choose the sections or categories that I want to activate, correct?

I'm currently using JCE to insert the code into articles.

If you go into Joomla Admin and the Mambot manager, click on the ObjectClarity Fireboard Discussbot. On the right you will see a page of parameters. - If not, then you have the wrong bot - get the 1.0.5 version from the website.

tonis - you assumme correctly. Once you see the parameters you will see the auto setting and some options about what sections & categories should be used and what FB categories the posts are created in.

Is the bot published?
Is it enabled in the FB Config?
Do you see the parameters page? If so post a screenshot of your settings. If not, get the 1.0.5 bot again and re-install.
If you have parameters, scroll to the very bottom and enable Debug info. That may let you know whats going on.
