OK guys, I've posted something that just might help you out. Head over to objectclarity.com and get the 1.0.5 version
of the bot. It has full JEvents support (as far as I was able to test) and includes formatting fixes for first posts created by the bot.
Try it out and let me know if it scratches your itch.

I'm going right now! I have not gone yet, because I wanted to just post a reply here that you're awesome. Even if it doesn't work, or sucks, or crashes my server, you rock! I'm sure it'll work and will most likely work great, but no matter what, you efforts are appreciated! Thank you so much!

Awesome it works great! I did notice one quirk where in the thread, and it says "This thread discusses the Content article: _____" clicking that links says i'm not authorized to view this resource...only for JEvents topics. The regular topics seem to work fine. Even for topics that were discussed using previous versions of discussbot..you really are awesome. Thank you.

Another user has reported a bug where I used a function only available in PHP 5.1+. I don't know what your version might be but I will post an update when I get more info from him.
