Wow.. just realized you can't ban users.. I've had a lot of idiots/spammers come to my site in the past and really need ban users/ip's

The best way to block IPs, IMHO, is via your .htaccess file.

add:


order allow,deny
allow from all
deny from somedomnain.com
deny from 111.111.111.111

its too difficult every time, and in some situations you have to unban the user and if you have a large list of baned users its a timekiller

You could comment in Usernames. I guess I don't really have a huge problem with banning and those I do ban, never get un-banned.

How about just going into User Admin in Joomla and selecting yes to Block the account?

Or possibly Joomla Blocklist

good idea.. just didn't know since i havn't started using joomla yet..
hey I know i've asked this before but just want to make sure... when i install fireboard with joomla do i need some sort of script to have registrations with the joomla and fireboard 'sync'd' or is it automatically done...?
