Yes, you can work it out with the Joomfish extension, but this way the entire site should be multilingual But, if you upload the required languages for Fireboard, and change the language of your site, the interface of Fireboard also will set to that language.

What about just let some people to post in their language and leave the system - primary language as english. I mean the menus, buttons, links, icons can stay in English, but users be able to post in other languages? This is what I would like to have.

OK, I think I am a bit confused now. I thought it was possible to be able to post in other languages and just popped by here as I was confused on the install of the Simplified Chinese language pack. I stumbled across this post, and now I am understanding what I want to do won't work maybe.

My site is an English based site including the Forums, but wanted to allow people to post in Simplified Chinese also to make things more convenient for my user base.
Is there a way to do this? - and not change anything with the language of the site itself...

We have a forum on chinese topics and just switched from Joomlaboard to Fireboard. If it isnīt possible to write chinese characters in Fireboard - as it isnīt in our forum right now - Iīll have to regret that deeply.
