where in what file can i modify so that a user is redirected to their post by default?
is it also possible to completely abandon the "your post was successfully submitted" page altogether?

i'm sorry, i meant when users post in the forum, they get sent to another page saying their post was successful, and are given two links 1) to return to the post 2) to return to the forum. after 5 seconds, they are automatically redirected to the post.
i was wondering where i can set the 5 seconds to 5 second. basically return the user back to their post by default.

Does it provide any particular function at all?
My users all hate it. Atleast the ability to reduce the wait time would a move in the right direction.

i meant to say 5 seconds to ZERO seconds.
i'm pretty sure changing the time delay is simple. i just have no idea where this code is =/

This is not possible. There are processes happening while that redirect screen is up. YOu can change the time it shows but not down to zero.
