Hello there. First of all, thanks for this awesome component. Been a long time coming for a fully integrated forum for Joomla...

Anyway, I recently did a fresh install of FB 1.03, then converted an SMF forum (1.13) to it. Everything seemed to go over okay, aside from one user not converting properly, but now every time I post something, it creates two identical posts (even timestamps).

Fortunately we're not an overly busy forum, but it could cause problems down the road.

Anyone have any idea why it would double-post everything?

Okay, it seems that this only happens with the first post, and generally (although not fully tested yet) only from articles on the front page...

Any ideas folks?

Damn. This problem is a little more elaborate than I originally thought... Firstly, whenever someone goes to comment, it posts once in the thread, and also creates a new thread...

I'm wondering if this could be because my user tables in joomla are out of sync. Would that create a problem like this?

Well, after re-synching my user tables and ACL stuff, it is still double-posting things... It seems to be only affecting me, the SuperAdministrator, and not regular members...

Man, I'm stumped.

Yeah I am facing the same problem too.

Everytime I click on 'Quick Post' and post something, it would reply to the article's thread AND create a new thread with only a single post.

How can I fix this?

have cleared all cookies, have cleared out cache, and STILL this is happening... Is there anyone in these forums who can at least offer an idea of what might be causing this problem? It is getting frustrating, and I'm all out of ideas to follow up on...

I'm growing a little concerned that nobody associated with the Fireboard community directly has even posted an acknowledgment of this problem that is apparently affecting more than just me...

Two weeks have gone by, and not even a hint as to what the problem could be. I realize that the converter may or may not have been made by someone on the FB staff, but if you're going to have it available for download, it'd be nice if it was somewhat supported...

Please, please, please, could anyone explain why this could be happening? (Double posts?)

That's what's linked from my "REPLY" button, which is different than the code on this site:

Why would these be different? Is this the problem?
