I have a site that uses joomla (1.0.8) with smf (1.1.2) with a bridge or some sort (pretty sure it's the SMF bridge)

I would like to move this to fireboard on another joomla site (currently Joomla 1.0.12 with Jaclplus). This site did have fireboard installed .. not anymore.

There are 486 Posts in 142 Topics by 92 Members (and 9 or so attachments)

All the members will move to a new group in Jaclplus.

I have root access to the server.. So I'll have all the user names and passwords you need!

ok, This is what you need to do. This is given that the two sites use different databases.

1) Select and DUMP(save) all the Smf tables from your old site on to your computer using PHPMYADMIN.

2) Install Fireboard on your new Joomla.

3)Import the dumped file back in to the database that contains the new Joomla/Fireboard installation.

4)Then its just a matter of running a converter script found in one of the other threads in this forum.

Unfortunately, the scripts don't work properly. They convert Posts & categories but not USERS..LOL

But if u manage to get a working script...Let me know.

So you're offering up a fix that doesn't work properly as a solution to the OP's situation?

(You'll probably have to hire some1 to fix the scripts)

The scripts available on this forum to convert
smf to Fb and phpBB2 to fb have the same issues.

I've tried them both myself.
I believe these scripts were fixed by people but the updated scripts are no longer available. As the attachments on the posts have been deleted.

I've gone through alot of trouble trying to fix it myself, but with very little php knowledge its hard.
