Invision IPB converter 1 Year, 7 Months ago  
Are there any plans for an Invision 2.2 converter? I suppose I could convert to PHPBB and convert that to Fireboard.

That would most definitely work as there has been a converter posted for PHPBB. I have not tested it but several community members have said it works with no problems.

I tried it and it worked on the surface, but the permissions didn't come across correctly. Users could not see certain forums eventhough the permissions for their group appeared to be correct.

This was for a LARGE forum with over 1000 members and over 100,000 posts.

Fireboard was also impossibly slow with a forum that size. I'll be waiting for the next release and trying again.

I also need an ipb converter but one that will also convert attached files as well, without this fireboard is a no go for me im afraid.

does this not mean though you need a license for vbulletin in the first place that would make converting a bit more difficult for most people. Also does this convert file attachments as well as post?

Mindtooth, I converted IPB to Vbulletin to SMF to fireboard which was easy enough and since then I have done the IPB to SMF to Fireboard which worked ok too.

Sure it takes a little work from you but to have a native joomla forum that looks this good is worth it surely?
