It worked Some urls got wrecked in the process, but I prefered to fix it manually as everything else seems to be ok. Thanks for this script and for your advices .

For information, here s what I find in the urls, most of the time the script adds random numbers after the url, ending this way

[code:1][/url:3tmwuz45][/code:1]

What I know is that is not a script problem but a problem with the fb bbcode parser..

In my case I had to run that sql (that I attached in the post) to make things work and this only happend in the 1.0.4 fb in the 1.0.3 fb I didnt have any problems with the bbcode..

That sql is not nothing that I invented its a patch from bestofjoomla..because people had some problems when they upgraded to 1.0.4 version

thanks so much for this... it's been a huge success for me. had problems with the url/bbcode, but your sql query fixed that. i just wanted to point out something for everyone's information:

the conversion creates users for all the bots that have been crawling your phpbb3 site... but, this is easily fixable by sorting joomla's user table by email and deleting the user accounts that don't have emails or passwords. just thought id point that out for people that don't want unnecessary users in their site.

oh, and for me, i had no problems with the super admin and didn't need to edit the user table for that.

means that the user doesnst have accses.

I have only mysql data uploaded on phpmyadmin witout a Site.
But thats not the problem i think because this converter takes care only with mysql.

not that i can see. the bots wouldn't be able to login. also, people/spammers might be able to login without signing up (password field for bots is null), so it's probably safest to delete those users.

The config.php seems to be ok.

It seems that these undefined variables (host, user, pass) are not ok.

I have a problem with the passwords. Everything is is converted but i can't log in with the same passwords in joomla. Can i transfer the password table manually?
