Another column width problem - sorry! 1 Year, 6 Months ago
I know this question has been asked in various forms more than once on this board, but I have not found a solution that works - sorry!

I started out with three problems: blank left module space, forum columns the wrong width, and edit/reply text box too narrow. I solved the first problem (blank left module space and forum not expanding to full width) by using the suggestions in this post.

But even with the forum at full width, the other two problems remain. Here are screenshots to illustrate them:

I thought it might be related to the forum template I was using (Infinity), so I changed back to the default forum template. That didn't help.

The only other thing I can think of is that it has something to do with my site template using tables. But I don't know how to solve that, except find a new template, and I don't know how to tell if a template uses tables or not without downloading it and opening up the files.

Can anyone help me with these problems? Thanks in advance.

In case anyone else is searching for an answer to this problem - I fixed it. In the Fireboard Configuration - Front End, change the "Use Joomla Style" to "NO". That made the template display correctly, the columns the and the edit box are now the correct width.

Thank you Joanie57. Your tip of fixing Column width not only helped the stated problem, but made the whole forum look much cleaner and nicer. Very helpful indeed.
