Could not upload & install Fireboard: This is the error: ERROR: Could not find an XML setup file in the package. Can somebody help me on this problem ?

i had installed Joomla! 1.0.12, and it`s working fine. Hope to get an answer. I really like fireboard!

Are you talking about adding a template to Fireboard? I just unzipped it and put it in the template directory of the fireboard component and then chose it in the Fireboard setup options.

I think you are doing something wrong. Are you installing it in component installation? tell us exactly what you are doing

Im having the same problem here. Using Joomla! 1.0.12

What I do is goto Installers >> Components, then browse the file and click on Upload FIle & Install.

Error Message:

ERROR: Could not find a Joomla! XML setup file in the package.

and under this:

[code:1]Installation file not found:
C:RobertPHPxampphtdocsjoomla2mediainstall_462e8affa4087[/code:1]
(offline server as you see, but everything else is working fine...)

I downloaded fireboard 1.0.0 beta_german from joomla.de

I'm no expert so I can't help with that Have you tried installing the standard version of fireboard first? I just downloaded the latest version and installed it onto 2 instances of joomla and didn't have an issue either time. Hope you get it sorted out.

FireBoard installation packages has XML setup file for a component. Maybe, your problems' source is that CHMOD values are not correct to install a component. This answer is valid for media file error.
