Community Builder integration 1 Year ago
Hi,

after finding our, that the cb plugin works not very well , if have made some modifaction to my fireboard/cib integration:

1. Integration of the badwords2 filter

2. If you add a thread to your favourites and delete the favourite later, fb is always showing: favoured 0. After a modification described here in the forum, fb shows nothing if you have no favourites.

3. Integration of the cb icons described in this thread:
www.bestofjoomla.com/component/option,co...d,68/id,23054/#23054
After this mod, fb shows the settings (e.G. Birhtday, Gender, ICQ etc) made in Community Builder

4. User Profiles are always linked to Community Builder.

5. The link "My profile" in fireboard brings the logged in user to his profile page, where he can set his signature und the layout (e.G. threaded or flat view). All other fields are deleted. So the user does not have to complete to different profile settings.

6. If a guest visits the forum the links "register", "login" "lost password" are also linked to cb.

---------------
Note: This modifications work only with a installed Community builder. If you decide to delete CB, you have to reinstall Fireboard.

If somebody is interested, I can zip the changed files.

If you want to see how it works:

Greetings
Ralf

18.09.07: Edited the cbplugin - it now schows only the lastest posts
20.09.07: Alkthough it may sound a bit strange: In FB configuration set the Community Builder integration to NO.
Avatar set to: Community Builder.
Profile set to: Fireboard.

Hi Ralf,

I did download it. So far it looks perfect and it seems to work perfect.
The only thing I am missing is:

-If I go to my CB Profile every information is there
-If I click my avatar in Fireboard, it links me to the CB profile (what is perfect!)

-If I click "My Profile" above in Fireboard, it gives me the FB Profile. Entries vom the CB Profile are missing there! I would prefer that this links me also to the CB Profile. I have all settings in the FB administration set to Community Builder and it still does not give me the CB profile there.

Thanks

Hi,

in FB configuration set the Community Builder integration to "NO".
It is right that "My profile" link points you to the FB Profile.
It's (at this time) the only point where you can setup your signature and layout.

Re:Community Builder integration 1 Year ago
Ralf,

thanks alot. Got me abit closer, but also not a solution.

Switching the settings to "No" will give me the CB User Profile out of the user menu.

If I click on Fireboard Profile within the forum I get all information, but in FB style (not in CB style, so it is not linked to C.

If I click on an avatar picture now I am relinked to the start page of the website but no user profile. So this did not work either

If clicking on a avatar would not redirect me back to the website start page all would be fine.

Re:Community Builder integration 1 Year ago
Ups my mistake:

Set CB to the following:
Avatar: CB
Profile: FB
CB Integration : NO

Clicking the Avatar now points to the CB profile.

Sorry for this confusion.

BTW:
"If I click on Fireboard Profile within the forum I get all information, but in FB style (not in CB style, so it is not linked to CB."

You are right, this gives you the information in FB - This is because I did not find another way to integrate the signature, Favourites, Subscriptions into CB.

All of this is very interesting, could you detail each modifications for 2, 4 and 5 since I did already number 3 and remember the thread about number 6... or if the modified files are different than for number 3, can you tell us which files to change...
thanks
