How soon will a stable 1.0.2 be released? 1 Year, 3 Months ago
How much longer do you guys think it will be before a stable version of this wonderful forum component will be released? I have a site that is about to go live and I would love to be able to utilize the features of 1.0.2 on my site... If I have to wait to start using 1.0.2 on my live site, will the full release be difficult to upgrade to?

Please advise...

I just said forget about it the wait, and I've gone ahead and uploaded 1.0.2 as the main forum on my site that is about to go live. It "Seems" to work well. If there are any bugs over and above that of which I have tested it out for (which is pretty much going to be all I will need it for) then I am just going to have to go with the flow. It's running seemingly great, and I think that at the point they are with it now, there shouldn't bee too too much longer for the full stable release of it..... I mean look, were are posting in 1.0.2 right now. LOL!

All I suggest to the people that are going to upgrade now, is to go to the thread I have posted below and follow ALL of the instructions... And, for now, ( least until someone give us a fix for it) forget about the: Warning: Division by zero in Warning: Division by zero in public_html/components/com_fireboard/sources/fb_statsbar.php on line 200 under all of the users profile photos, because after the first post is made, they will all go away.

Have fun you guys, I am rolling out my site with 1.0.2 like it is. I love the new features and am too impatient to wait for this great products to be released.

It is quiet amazing how the core team ignores questions about when 1.02 will actually be releaased. At least they could say, it is going to be 2 months or something like that.

Their attitude probably means that we will not be see 1.02 this year.

Not knowing when the stable version will be released is very frustrating. Just as it must be very frustrating for the dev team getting all these questions about when it will be released as well.
I know that a lot of webmasters are actually waiting to go live with their sites because they are waiting for the stable. Unless these are sites that are based on the forum, why wait? You can always add Fireboard later...
That said, I think a lot of the "are-we-there-yet?" type of questions could be avoided if the dev team made a weekly update on the progress. Just briefly stating what progress has been made. A few lines should do it. People tend to be more patient when they know what they are waiting for, what is being done to fix the problem and how long (approx) they have to wait.

It's clear from the posts that people are loving the forum component, but are getting rather impatient with the release. I think information could make the wait more tollerable and the whole Fireboard experience even more exiting.

This is your first post and you come out with a statement like the above ?

Do you appreciate that the guys are doing this in their spare time ? Do you know that at least one of them is doing his Ph D ? Now that you do, which should he give priority to ?

Yes, it might be mildly annoying that the timetable hasn't been met - but attitudes like yours are the very ones which might cause lesser folk to walk away from the project. Thankfully, the developers are bigger than that.

Scotsgait@ It`s not correct. If you work than you work, if no than please tell us ... I don`t work ... and all people will tell it`s ok.

2 month late stable version ... what phD? Person with valid phD never late 2 month.

Hi.

I have not posted anything yet, as I did not see the reason to. I have seen numerous 'Could you make a statement' topics that were being ignored, so that was my reasoning.

Seeing that you only made 3 posts previous to this one, you should quiet down, i believe.
