...As a developer myself, I totally understand that one always has other projects, life outside of a non-paid development project, so on and so on...

But while I completely believe in this product and hope that it will continue to grow and mature...it simply isn't there yet.

In addition to it not being mature, it seems that the devs in question are unwilling to consider modifications that are available in every competitive product. A good example (one of many) of this is the fact that as of v 1.0.13, an FB user can not set their own time zone as a pre-built in option, something that every other competitive product can do.

I say all this NOT to discourage its devs. I really DO hope that they continue to grow FB to its ultimate potential. I will continue to watch its development and keep a fresh install of joomla w/fb on my server, and install all upgrades, revisions and releases as the devs continue to make improvements in the hope that one day it offers the same level of functionality that vBulletin, IBPro, phpBB or SMF does...

But for now...its simply not ready for prime time IMHO.
