I gotta say, the techniques are different, but the principle that has occurred to me as I learned the jargon from the Joomla forums then proceeded to install every feature I could get my hands on... it's kinda like installing an operating system then adding all the programs like office and utilities, etc. I was so naive even just a week ago that after installing CB I looked around for the forum, like it was supposed to come with it

.
Anyway, most things fit like, mod_*.* is going under install modules from the menu, com_*.* is installing components. Components come first because thats the core of the "add-on" like a program, and mod is just the place that the com interacts with input/output interface, so it usually winds up in a physical place on the webpage. It's really an awesome concept, but took a few days to absorb cause I learn by getting the instructions, looking at examples, then actually going through the motions thinking it through. I dont think I ever found an answer to a question without going off on tangents looking through forums. I have 5 or 6 forums bookmarked in a folder next to 15 other "joomla sites, all in a week. That's how you install Fireboard.
