Users Manual 1 Year, 1 Month ago
Is there a users manual for FireBoard? I am having problems starting a new forum.

I cannot even post a message unless the sample data is displayed. Does this sound familiar?

No it doesn't. The manual is in the ZIP you downloaded in PDF format.

I've been checking in the .zip file I downloaded and there is no .pdf file. Only in the 1.0.3 package is there a .pdf.

Is this the case? Is this the way it's supposed to be?

Hi, I can't find it either. Can anyone help? I'm trying to figure out how to use Moderators...a user's manual would be incredibly helpful!

Okay there is no user manual. Only an installation/upgrade manual and it is in the 1.0.3 package.

There never was a user manual.

Thanks grinchy.

Would you happen to know if there is any place I could find out how to use Moderators, like set up what they can and can't do and all that?

FireBoard doesn't have that kind of control. You can set up individual users as moderators and give them access to certain categories but that's about it. Once they are mods they can do what mods do.

Thanks so much!

So they can do what mods do...which is...? hahaha. Sorry, I've had a Forum for years but never assigned moderators.

I don't want them to be able to access the backend at all. I have no idea what the privileges would be.

Thanks for your help with this moronic line of questioning.

They cannot get to any admin functions. The can move, edit, delete and sticky posts.
