When I try to use Forum Administation after completing Fireboard configuration I get this message: DB function failed with error number 1146
Table 'lassoresearch.jos_fb_categories' doesn't exist SQL=SELECT a.*, a.name AS category, u.name AS editor, g.name AS groupname, h.name AS admingroup FROM jos_fb_categories AS a LEFT JOIN jos_users AS u ON u.id = a.checked_out LEFT JOIN jos_core_acl_aro_groups AS g ON g.id = a.pub_access LEFT JOIN jos_core_acl_aro_groups AS h ON h.id = a.admin_access GROUP BY a.id ORDER BY a.ordering, a.name
Is there something missing, something I should have installed/done/set differently.
Thanks a million for your help.
I got it fixed, my own mistake, PROBLEM SOLVED!!!
Has anyone gotten past this and willing to share how they did it?
I'm having the same problem with 1.5 in legacy mode.

Hi I have
Joomla 1.5 with Fireboard 1.04.
I have installed adsense modules, and assigned one to fb_msg_1 and ensured it is published on "all" pages.
However, it will not display in any of the available fb_msg_x positions.
I have this same problem with adsense clicksafe, Joomla 1.5.1 and Fireboard 1.0.4. It seems that the problem is that the jdoc include is not parsed inside the Fireboard template. In fact, if you view source on a fireboard page, you can see the fb_msg_1 div and the jdoc include tag still intact inside the HTML.
I have tested this with beez, rhuk, and ja_purity all with the same results. If I add the fb_msg_1 module position into a non-fireboard template (like index.php), the ads show perfectly.

Hi Bob,
can you please explain in more detail what you did to get the ads to show in Joomla! 1.5?
I viewed source on my Fireboard forum page and there is no fb_msg_1 anywhere. Can you place the fb_msg_1 source here and tell me (us) where to copy it to in order to define this position within Joomla! 1.5?
Cheers,
Victor

Anyone had ideas on the blank page after trying to install Fireboard on Joomla 1.53.
I have tried setting this up on my home apache box but with no joy.
I have used the Legacy mode on a brand new installation with every single dir on 777 just for the fun of it and it will not install I just get blank admin page like many others.
However on the uploaded proper host webpage it all installs just fine, with the same template I was orginally trying to install Fireboard with and every setting the same ( not 777 thou lol )
So threfore I can only see it being a differnce between my the 2 servers. As my box is still PHP4 and mysql 4 and proper host is all on PHP5 someting it maybe down to that. All I can say it is not down to a template well not in my case just seems something running different on the apache server if I find out what ill try let all you blank admins know.

DB function failed with error number 1146
Table 'enn123_endurancenews.jos_fb_categories' doesn't exist SQL=SELECT a.*, a.name AS category, u.name AS editor, g.name AS groupname, h.name AS admingroup FROM jos_fb_categories AS a LEFT JOIN jos_users AS u ON u.id = a.checked_out LEFT JOIN jos_core_acl_aro_groups AS g ON g.id = a.pub_access LEFT JOIN jos_core_acl_aro_groups AS h ON h.id = a.admin_access GROUP BY a.id ORDER BY a.ordering, a.name
I'm getting a similiar error using Joomla 1.5, with Legacy mode plug ON.
It seems like the database wasn't written write - no category.
Anyone know the fix??
THANKS A MILLION!

I just installed FB on joomla 1.5 in legacy mode, and everything seemed to install fine. But when I attempt to register a new user, I was not taken to a confirmation page. The new registration page just refreshed. I did receive a confirmation email, so I went back to the main forum screen and tried to login. When I click the "login" link, nothing happens...the page just refreshes. Any ideas?
I have the same issue, but I didn't get a confirmation email.

Registration issues with 1.5 and certain templates have been a recurring problem. Luckily, one where the solutions have for the most part been worked out. To help you I need a little more info.
1. Are you using the most current nightly build of 1.5?
2. What template are you using? (try using Beez and see if registration works. If it does I know the fix.)
3. Are new users able to register on the Joomla portion of the site?
If you would provide a link to your site I could try to register as a new user and see what's going on. You can take a look at my site to see how it is supposed to work. I'll tell you it took some doing to get Joomla and my template to work correctly. Fireboard worked fine after I got the other two in line. My site is http://alcoholicsanonymousonline.com Go to the Study Forum to see Fireboard and register as a new user from there. You can also register from the front page through Joomla and after activation and Login Fireboard lets you right in and does not require an additional login.
I'm guessing the Template choice is probably why my FB isn't working. I'm using the new template from JoomlArt - JA_barite.
My website's here: http://ashtonmurphy.com/
Please feel free to check it out. I'll leave the Forum open until someone looks at it. Please get in contact with me because I do need this working for some clients.
I have a SMF Forum set up, but I would much rather FireBoard. It's a much better product overall.
EDIT: I tried using Beez, still didn't work. Currently running Joomla! 1.5 RC3, Legacy 1.0 and new users can register at the Joomla! portion of the site.
Thank you all,
