I am really desperate and was wondering if someone could help me. I'm running Joomla 1.0.15. I've installed Fireboard 1.0.4 full package in its zipped format and got a successful install message. When I go to the "components > fireboard" menu, however I don't see any messages on clean or upgrade installation.

I've also added the discussbot in mambots, but I'm not sure how to modify the lines as suggested in the instructions. I know where to go in my files, but I don't have enough clear instructions on how to proceed. In summary, I can see the categories I've created on the frontend, but there's no way for users to discuss or add new topics. Also from a previous install I was messing with, I have two previous posts, but now when I try to click on them, I get the following error:

Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in /home/quiet8/public_html/components/com_fireboard/template/default/fb_pathway.php on line 67

Please let me know if I missed anything in the installation process or anything else.

The whole story please? Are you saying you had a PREVIOUS version installed? If so you will NOT get and option for a clean OR upgrade install. How did you upgrade and from what version?

As for Discussbot that is another issue. You should post it in the appropriate forum.

Hi, I have version 1.0.4 of fireboard installed. I finally found a forum that showed me how to do a complete uninstall of fireboard and when I reinstalled, I did find the "clean or upgrade" message. So that part is good.

The only problem I'm still having is not knowing how to have the forum give users the option to post new messages. I create a category from the Admin panel which I see on the front end, but still no way of adding new posts. I suspect the discussbot has something to do with it. I installed the 1.0 that I found on the fireboard site, but I would like more specific instructions on how to add the bot lines.

Another problem I have is when I add fireboard to the main menu and save, I see the name with a big space in from of it with a character something like: (. LForum). Except the L in from of the name "forum" is higher up like an exponent. In addition, I don't see the name showing up on the front end.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
