TOPIC: Creating a separate database for Fireboard

Creating a separate database for Fireboard 3 Months ago
I know this question was asked before but there was no definitive answer so I will ask again.
Is there a way to assign a separate database to Fireboard 1.0.x so that this slow as molasses goopy code will only clog up the forums with its ridiculous number of queries without affecting the rest of my site?

If not, what are the chances that such an option can be built into FB 2.0?

Thanks.

I guess a non-answer is also an answer. Thanks to everyone who responded. I appreciate all the great help and support.
