Cannot Upload Files to Fireboard directory FTP... 1 Month, 2 Weeks ago
Hi! Call me Yesme. My Joomla! version is 1.5.4 and my Fireboard version is 1.0.4 Stable.

Problems:
1. Cannot upload files to Fireboard directory via FTP. Owner for the files & folders are set to "99" while others set to my web Username. The quotes copied from FTP manager.

2. Cannot access the forum "Direct access to that location is not allowed". I already enable Site > Global Configuration > System > Debug Settings for both Debug System & Language but upexpected words & scripts appeared at the bottom of all pages opened. When disable the Debug System, the words & scripts dissappeared.

First U should delete the com_fireboard from administartor & components directories from ftp.
If U can`t delete those than U must download the extension eXtplorer, install it and with it delete the dir com_fireboard from joomla with this extension.

Why not just using the Uninstall function? For what to delete the Fireboard directory com_fireboard? As i mentioned before, the problem is I cannot replace or upgrade or delete the Fireboard files because I think the FTP showed that the Owner of that files is belongs to "99" whereas others is belongs to my web username. Here I attached that proof.

...Then try to uninstall if it works, and install the newer version.
As I mentioned U must use eXtplore and change the permissions so that U can replace, delete, edit files via FTP, because the owner is 99-nobody-joomla

Contact your hosting provider and have them change the permissions/ownership.
