Assigning a Special Rank to an Admin 10 Months ago
That's the problem: I created a new Special Rank: Professional Poker Player and i would like to assign it to an administrator. But even if i select it from the user manager it doesn't work! Is this a bug? Can you please give me a solution?

Thank you in advance

I think you still have to do the special rank hack talked about in previous version.

Hope this is what you talk about.

unfortunatly this is not the hack i was speacking about. I was referring to the ranks you can set up in the admin panel. I have 3 speacila ranks: Admin, Moderator and Professional Poker Player.

Suppose i have an admin and i want to assign him the special rank "Professional Poker Player" it seems not working...i tried to select the new rank in the user admin but it it didn't work....it's very important for my site...hope you'll help me find a solution

I had the same problem and found no solution.

"Admin" ist always "admin" in the forum, also with assigned special rank.

When you assign a special rank to a moderator, he has it in forums, where someone else is the moderator, but in that forum, where he is the mod, his rank changes to "moderator".

I donīt believe, thereīs a simple solution for that.

I so the following now. I Use the username "Admin" only for the administration of the backend and take a normal user for myself, when I am on the frontend.

I know no other way...
