Okay, it might not be the best way, especially if I want to restrict access to our forums, but by making every topic Everybody and then they are visible.

This works for now, but I recall reading about the differences between FB and Joomla access levels.

Nonetheless, I'm happy for now...

================================
Joomla 1.5.5 (Legacy)
FB 1.0.4
No CB
Apache version 1.3.37 (Unix)
PHP 5.2.5
MySQL 4.1.22-standard-log

I would have marked it as URGENT or ASAP, but really... who has an issue that isn't urgent to them and their users?

Pretty basic stuff; using SB/FB on a patient website for two years (give or take) and never had problems...until now.

Logged in as Admin: Discussion view works, Categories list categories, My Profile is fine.
Logged in as Reg User: Discussion view works, NO CATEGORIES AT ALL, My Profile is fine.

The problem is my users (over 2,300) are not seeing the category listing. They can reply to posts from Discussion view, but cannot add new ones through the Categories view. I have two main topics with sub topics.

I have them as a mix of Everybody and All Registered to see if something will work. What I would like is to know if this is common (I have read other threads about it, but few and far between and with no real solution) and how do I resolve it short of posting the direct link for a new post for each topic on the Discussion view.

Thanks
Will
