I am dealing with one of those "Partnerships" gone bad situations...

My ex-partners husband is the one who set up our Joomla site with the new FireBoards rather than our old SMF forum... and I can Not figure out how to change the status of the users on my Forum NOW!

I need to make some old moderators NOT moderators and some new people moderators and can't find the spot to change this?

Also, is there a function that will Turn OFF Private Messages for certain users?

If it is okay on this board to ask--I am looking to pay someone to help me get the FireBoard and Joomla cleaned up, updated and take it back over.

Not possible without third party components. There is a user provided hack that works but requires files to be modified. You can also wait for the next release as I believe it addresses this old oversight.


Ooooooor. You can convert the whole shebang to SMF or Agora as their converter is almost completed.

We had the Joomla board going with the SMF board and it was converted to the FireBoard in April I believe...

I was able to find the way in the Fireborad User to change the status by clicking on their names and changing the settings... Is this enough to change their ability to Moderate? Or Not?

Try in the user management section I believe. Not able to look at the admin panel right now.
