You should be able to simply install the template as is - provided you're running the 1.0.5 NB10 or higher. The adjustments I'd made that affected how the logins work (to co-incide with the commercial jMember) are no longer part of the download. To my knowledge it should work "out of the box" - and the categories would be shown first with this download.

Just be sure you're running 1.0.5 when you install the adjusted template and you should be okay - let me know if you have any problems.

@blacktusk (and whoever else was waiting... LOL): As for the variations I'd promised - they're coming... I've just been completely swamped at the office lately, especially with the recent rash of rogue "security installs" that are plaguing XP machines like crazy that I am charged with fixing (and even that has a 2 week waiting list now).... I'm trying to get the variations done, but "spare time" is at an all-time minimum for the moment. I *will* get them out as soon as I can though....

Don't you love the spare time dance? Its not a big rush bud, I modified the code a little to change the color scheme a bit. The only thing I couldn't change was the Blue headers. Im proud of myself haha

Your temlate is what I needed

There is a little bug though. If there is a lot messages, the Recent Discussions should show Page: 1,2,3 and so on. What I got is "Page: 1followfollow". In original Default_ex everything is ok.

Had the same problem. From memory I copied the latestx.php from the the default_ex template to the default_ex_rejuvinated template.

I have some problem with accesing the fireboard folder..

Contact your hosting company if you cannot change permissions on any directories. They'll do it for you.

There is one issue. When responding to a topic, the buttons (Submit, Preview, Cancel, etc) are set too dark to see the text. Is this an image that can be modified, or done in css?

After a bit of poking around, looks like you can edit the color parameter of the forum.css file. In this case, I set it to white so the text would show up.

rejuvinet, thank you immensely for default_ex_rejuvinated! I'd already spent an hour or so trying to reinvent the wheel, as it turned out. I found how to move the Categories tab to the left and make it appear blue to indicate that it was selected, but not how to actually display the list of categories/forums by default rather than Recent Discussions without having to click on it.

Just to satisfy my curiosity, where in the code is that default set? After the time I spent looking for it and not finding it, I'd like to know.

Having the Categories displayed by default, in my opinion, makes FireBoard a lot easier to navigate for people who are used to other forum types like phpBB and SMF. Kudos!
