Hi,

I've just got the fireboard 1.05RC1 intstalled to joomla 1.0.15 website using RT MediaMogul theme. Meantime, I am using community builder to handle my membership. Everything works well other than this user/forum permission issue that is giving me problem.

The the post shown on the "latest Post" module in my frontpage but when guest or registered member click on it, it says they have no rights to view the source.

And the forum are set to be view by public, but upon clicking the menu to the forum, guest were asked to log in. For this part, there is NO RPBOBLEM for registered user. Registerd user can click and view the forum when after they login.

I've search through the forum and found that there are quite a bit of them suffering similar problem and there is a solution but it is for Joomla version 1.5x and I am using joomla 1.0.15

Can someone help me to solve this problem? Thanks.

This really depends on the latest posts module you are using. There are several out there, some better than others. Might want to check with the author to see if they have an updated version in the works.

There is another problem, that is, The forum are set as a public forum, but guest/public can't view the forum, they were ask to login when they click the link to the forum. any idea how to tackle this?

Check and double check your settings. It must be in there somewhere.
Are you using a template that came with 1.0.5?

Yup. the settings are set correctly and the template used is default-ex.
I've also tried changing the template to other default templates but problem still occur.

Are you using any kind of SEF module?

Nope. Didin't.

Oh! I've manage to solve the problem.
It is due to my joomla permission setting.
