How Do I change the view mode of fire board 4 Months ago
hello all,

I have recently installed fireboard and am just learning the layout and config settings, AMASSING board for joomla im so sick of trying to get bridges to work.

My problem is that i have a forum and some catagories set up, when i make a new thread all is well but when i post a reply to it it ony shows the replies in a small tree format that you have to click on to view. i would like it to display the entire thread with all the replies underneath it like this forum and all other forums do.

At first i thought that this might be the threaded/flat setting but when i changed this from one to the other it made no noticable difference...

the forum is located at http://www.viecofuel.com/index.php?optio...reboard&Itemid=2

please help.

I have the same issue, so I can confirm the thread starters problem. I'm sure the issue is the same as mine.

I set "Default View: to Flat in the fireboard configurations, which seems to work fine in FF & Safari browsers, However in IE7 Guests see a threaded view even though I set Flat as default.

I'm guessing this is isolated to IE. Once flat was selected manually as a guest, the threads were fine again in IE. I'm just curious as to why the FLAT view is not staying default in IE7?

Any assistance would be appreciated in this manor.

I'm unable to reproduce the error... could you make an screenshot?

Also, could you try visiting my forum and see if it happens also?

Other than your board having a white page with only this code: <![endif]--> :for about 1-2 second before loading the the forums, its works fine & displaying flat.

(SOLVED) By the way, it seems my issue is fixed oddly. after manually selecting flat as a guest & then clearing my browser cookies & cache, the board seems to load flat every time now as a guest. That was rather weird.

At any rate mines working great now, but you might want to look into that <![endif]--> white page delay. It happens in IE7 just so you know but FF3 is fine.

Yes, I saw, as I'm linux user, I don't quite test sites with IE

Not that I care much for it to work either, bah IE ^^

I believe it's cause by the poor javascript handling of IE, that loads menus and so pretty slowly...

Odd, my sites on a Linux server & my <![endif]--> tags don't show. the only place My <![endif]--> tags are used in the code is after my IE6 transparency Bug fix.

I think I found your problem though, when viewing your source I noticed that your tag is not sequenced properly. You have: <![endif]> & it should be: <![endif]-->

Not sure if the 2 -- make that big of a difference, but its worth a shot to check it out & see if it gets rid of the white page delay for you . here's a small portion of your code showing it:
Code:

  <script type="text/javascript" src="http://98.131.153.214/components/com_fireboard/template/default_ex/js/cube_common.js"></script>
  <link rel="alternate" type="application/rss+xml" title="obtén los últimos mensajes directamente en tu escritorio" href="http://98.131.153.214/foro.html?func=fb_rss&amp;no_html=1")/>

<![endif]>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://98.131.153.214/templates/system/css/system.css" type="text/css" />
<link rel="stylesheet" href="http://98.131.153.214/templates/system/css/general.css" type="text/css" />
