Right now, when you load fireboard, it goes to the "Recent Discussions" area of the forums... I want to be able to set the system to default to "Categories" instead...

Is there a way to do this? I've got a ton of USERS who fall under the typical definition of a "User" that any Network Admin would understand... since I migrated over from IPB - my users think the only threads are the ones showing up on the "Recent Discussions" list, and are confused about where to find the rest of the topic areas...

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated...

I'd also like to be able to set the default display to be the categories page instead of the recent discussions page. I'd like to be able to do this using the default template.

The easiest way to handle this is to create the menu item as a URL instead of component and use 'index.php?option=com_fireboard&Itemid=0&func=listcat' as the link or whatever you are using to send the visitor there such as a graphic or text link. Worked great for me.
