Seems you can close this issue now as being solved.

Joomla 1.0.13, CB 1.1, FB 1.0.3 (DO NOT update to this, it is a MESS!!!)

Before:

Users had to login, then they hit the "FORUM" button, then Firboard loaded twice.

After applying the fix from page one of this thread I have this effect now:

Users login, hit the Button "FORUM", directed back to Startpage, hit the button "FORUM" again, then the forum will show and is only loading once.

Problem: Have to hit the Forum button/link twice

A half way solution, not sure I will go back again.

The information on the first page was outdated, as a better solution was made available.
But I changed the first page contents again to make clear where you can get the correct solution.

did follow the link on page1.
I got rid of the reload twice problem. Problem remaining is that I have to hit the forum button twice to get into the forum.

So I think the problem just shifted.

same problem here mosredirect fix creats new bug: have to hit forum twice to load forum.
