SOLVED - Where is my FireBoard forum located? 1 Year, 2 Months ago
The problem is that I have not been able to find a link or any other means to access my forums. Where are they and how do I get to them?

I have installed FireBoard 1.0.3 to my Joomla 1.0.13 site that already had Community Builder 1.1.0 installed and running. The installer indicated that Fireboard was installed successfully and I am able to administer it through the control panel. I also made sure that the forum is not "offline". The sample forum data has been loaded as well.

Also from within the FB Configuration page I have already clicked on the - Click here - link.

Create Community Builder forum profile
Click the link to create necessary Forum fields in Community Builder user profile. After they are created you are free to move them whenever you want using the Community Builder admin, just do not rename their names or options. If you delete them from the Community Builder admin, you can create them again using this link, otherwise do not click on the link multiple times!

Did you already create a menu item link to it in the Joomla control panel and make sure it was published?

THANK YOU! That was all the nudge I needed.

Either I did not see this step mentioned (most likely), or there was no mention of it at all.

At any rate, after install I just needed to perform these steps:
- Log in as admin
- Use the dropdown menu at the top of the page and choose the menu that I want to add the FireBoard Forum link into.
- Click on "New" from the toolbar.
- Click on "Components"
- Enter the Details:
--- name of your forum
--- the component you are linking to (in this case "Fireboard Forum"
--- where the link will be nested
--- who will be able to view your forum
--- publish it
- Click "Save" to finish.

This was a missing step for me too. Would be great to put this in the very brief installation instructions you have.

I can kinda understand this BUT it is a Joomla component after all. You will have to do this with almost any component you add to Joomla. It is not Fireboard specific thing.

Any ideas why my fresh install of Fireboard does not appear in the components list for adding a new menu item to a component. I have 2 joomla 1.0 sites and it happens in both, the install is successful but no component to link to. Thanks
