Edit / Delete buttons. Plese help. 1 Year ago
The edit and delete post buttons seem to be reversed and they just send me back to the main forum page when I click them. The same thing happens with the My Avatar button under profile menu.

I tested Fireboard several months ago and had the same issues. I thought they might have been fixed by now, but I guess not. Any solution for this?

Crap, I put this in the wrong thread. I hope someone can move it.

Well, I guess you have to be logged in to see the buttons. I set it to public write, but you only get the buttons when logged in. It appears Reply to post starts a whole new thread too. Only quick reply works. What's the deal?

That doesn't look like a bug. Looks like there's something wrong with your install. Do you have any other add-ons installed that may be interfering with FB?

Thanks for responding. I have sh404SEF, AKOcomments, joomap, Related Items Bot, and IMAddThis. I have a couple of other that are not published. Is there any known issue with the above?

Some I'm not familiar with, The SEF add-on didn't seem to be an issue. I would try a reinstall since it hasn't gone public. I don't know where to begin to look as this is very atypical behavior.

Well, I think you're correct about it being an issue with one of the add-ons. The only add-ons I was using the last time I had problems where AKOComments and Related Items. If I wanted to re-install and test Fireboard without these two, could I just unpublish them, or would I have to uninstall them all together.

I could find out if one of them is the problem, but I want to keep both.

It all depends on the config of the add-on. Some let you "deactivate" them and some require total uninstallation to get them to stop working. MOST will allow an uninstall and retain all tables in the database.

Hi guys,

great I found a post which is related to my issue

1) edit doesn't work - I am admin, I am logged in, I see the button 'EDIT'. I press the button and it transfers me to the main page. Strange
2) reply button creates a new post (not really reply). The only thing which works is ''quick reply'' which is bit strange and customers are not really use to it. Therefore I would love to have a solution for this

I thought originally it was 1.0.3 version, I did re-install and put a new stable 1.0.4 version , all is fine all works but these two have still 'bugs''

I am reading the previous post an issue with add-ons. I am also using SH404SEF like Rick (plus others like CB etc.., so far there were no issues with it, but could it be this case of SEF? Has anyone found a solution in the mean time?

here is the link to my site and to the forum, so you can see what I am talking about. Try to edit your own post, you can't. hmmmm Pleaaaase help

many many thanks

PS Ok I returned here just to edit my note, and it works nicely, this is what I would like to accomplish at my site.

just as a reference, when I click on the edit button, it moves me to the main page, but I see SH404SEF creating a new page on this one : www.openingmaster.com/index.php?/Delete-...l?catid=10&id=38

strange

Hi guys?
Any help on this? It's been 3 weeks. Come on. I know it's free tool and really do appreciate but with this problem I don't know if I should re-install (actually I did once and the problem persists) or what. But certainly the tool with reply / edit doesn't work!

Many thanks
