I'm not sure if i'm alone with this or not since no one reported this yet but line jumps doesn't work for me in announcements despites the edit box works quite well.

Can someone test this with fireboard 1.0.4 and maybe also with the SVN nightly build and maybe confirm this ?

I mean when you press press "enter" or use tags "br", it works in the edit box as usual but when the announcement is displayed all appear in one line.

Maybe you call this "line breaks" ?

I don't think it's supported. Even if the editor allows it the template doesn't seem to. There's probably something in the template or CSS that need to be altered to allow for more than a single line of text. The announcements feature is about as basic as you can get.

I think it deserves a feature request, several lines would help to make long announcements more clear and easier to read, at least i do feel the need of on my website.

It would probably be a simple matter to get a javascript or something inserted into the announcement code to scroll, support hyperlinks, etc.

I'm sure it is not a big modification, i feel this more as a bug as it should have support line breaks since the beginning like other forum softwares.

Guess I'll have to disagree on that one. It works. Maybe more of a design oversight that the editor would allow more than the template is capable of but it's NOT broken

Honestly i'm not interested by this discussion (usefulness of line breaks in announcement) as it is an obvious "must to have" for me (strangely all other forum software share this view) so if no one is interested by fixing this i will try to fix this myself, it will just be longer as i'm not as knowledgable than persons here in general.

I still think that the "it works, no need to improve it" view has its limits.
