Surly you can ban people in fireboard because in joomla you can ban people so there for if you ban them in joomla they are banned from from fireboard!

LIKE I SAID. I put this together in about a half an hour or less. It should be used as a guide ONLY!!! This comparison should NOT be used as the definitive guide when trying to decide on various software solutions. It is not exhaustive in it's listing of features therefore it should not be used as the comparison bible as some are implicating it should be.

Regardless, I no longer maintain it nor to I plan on updating it. If you want a COMPLETE listing of the various forums features available it is up to YOU to do your OWN research.

Ahh, indeed Sorry to hear you aren't going to support it anymore? You did a really good job on it, kinda surprised by that. FYI, my gasp comment was made at you saying that Joomla was the area most likely to be wrong. I find you the ultimate (and only? moderator/supporter here), and really have a hard time believing that you would know about the features of all the others BETTER than 'your' own

What wiki were you planning on trying to put this on? Maybe I could help with that.. That way, as a wiki, when features change, to FB or otherwise, 'anyone' could update it.. That would keep it out of your hair, AND make your good chart perpetually useful.

I would LOVE to be able to claim FB as my OWN but I cannot. I am just a mod and not privy to a lot or the behind the scenes communication and planning. More importantly I am just a user. Not a developer. Just a beta tester like yourselves. As such I only know what I pick up through the forums.

As for being the ultimate, there are a few that would disagree.

But you cannot do it from FireBoard directly. People want that kind of control IN the forum.

That being the case its a bit of an unfair comparison as the others are stand alone software where FB is not and relies majorly on Joomla ...

If FB had a standalone product as well then I would agree

If you have the time. I would really love for you to accompany to transfer this into the BOJ wiki. A really nice feature to add to the wiki.

If you want a wiki on this information (be sure to update it as necessary), I suggest you be pro-active and start it yourself. This topic (which is 5-6 months old fyi) never developed into anything that I'm aware of. GM, the man who truly knows the most about fb (imo, a legend) already stated he's not updating it anymore, and I don't know enough about the other forums out there to do anything more than copy what he's already done and paste it into a wiki. If one of you fellerz who resurrected this topic have a little more insight on some of the 'competition' as they say, I'm sure there'd be a community's worth of people who'd appreciate you copy/pasting it into a wiki and updating it accordingly.

It would be nice if you ask the OWNER of the site it's hosted on, that being ME, permission to use it before coming along and ripping it off. As you can see I volunteered this for the WIKI a LONG time ago and got NO RESPONSE from the devs.

Now this is being used as a comparison of my OWN Joomla forum component AGORA.
