Since last talk:

User profile nearly completed, with options for

- user information (profile and pass), changeable by admins and moderators
(depending on rights)
- forum/category/thread subscriptions & fav management in front end with read status (so you can check if there are new posts to your fav posts or subsc. posts)
- forum and category announcements (a new feature that stands a level higher than sticky, like sticky, under forum announcement <- from config).
- User message list with complete texts and read status
- merge/split/move/delete for moderators
...

interface is nearly redone too, and it rocks (screenshots coming after break).

We are working on "search" and security checks, which are tough parts, and after that we should be ready for an alpha release for translators (or anyone else)

damn, it's really dead huh? sooooo, at least that means we can post open questions without getting rude replies from the admin? whoooooooooooooohoooooooooooo!
there's a good side to everything!
it really isn't a bad board - i like fireboard. not really sure what to do either.
for now as my forum is just starting to get pretty active, and nothing is broke - i think i'm just gonna keep using it. until someone either picks the project back up, or makes an easy way to move all my crap to phpbb or somethin.

You might want to re-read this thread. There is nothing dead here.

ok, feel like an idiot. the first post was so recent, i read through the first couple pages and got burned out reading about other forum solutions that i didn't go any further.
didn't stick around for the good news from pixels. would have thought someone would have jumped in sooner to clear it up.
anyway, glad to know it's still on. i run an RT template (populus) and honestly no problems.

good news, what RELEASE date you plan for fireboard 2 ?

can you explain in more details what you mean by saying it won't be exactly native?

We are currently finalizing 1.0.5

Once that is done we will go into full testing with version 2.0

Given the nature of a full rewrite we have to test a LOT which will take a couple weeks at the minimum. Meanwhile we want to make sure we have the most stable 1.0.5 out there possible.

Hi All,

I like to share what we are doing

I was very busy with default forum design and we add some new main features.

I hope you will like it.
