Too many pages 5 Months ago

I recently installed the Fireboard forum component on my site. Stupidly I allowed public write access and within a couple of weeks hundreds of spam posts had been made. Then instead of the usual interface appearing when visiting the forum, a blank page appeared with the text 'too many pages'. I have tried uninstalling then re-installing the component but still the same page appears. Can anyone help get the forum back online?

You'll have to go into the database and delete all the SPAM posts manually.

(or just drop all jos_fb_* tables, but be careful that means erasing all you have about Fireboard, can not be undone)

Go to SEF component (Artio or 404Sef) and clic on Clean Cache!

It is a problem issue when many directions produced by SEF Component are stored in the database ..
You must purge the sef urls.. That's All!

Where did it say there were using any SEF component? Posts aren't written to a cache. They're written to the database.

I'm getting the same message in my install of fireboard. It only happens when you log in though... There are only 29 topics and 200 replies, this can't be a lot? However when checking Joomsef, I had to purge 12 000 pages? How can I avoid this in the future, this seems to have fixed my site though (purging joomsef friendly url's)

Empty the cache on a regular basis. Apparently it's a third party extension causing the problem. like JoomSEF, and not FireBoard.
