Groupjive Integration - Non-Functional 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago
I cannot seem to get this to work. I already have individual boards set up for each group before the Groupjive installation. When doing the Groupjive integration I named each created group the same as the current board on the forum, I then entered the category ID of the boards that were previously created.

Its not working.
These posts are showing up in the group are not correct. kansascityfantasy.com/kcfantasy/index.ph...pid=15&Itemid=68

This is the parent board entered in the groupjive integration.

I am coming here because I have received ZERO replies from the Groupjive forum.

I am also having some other issues with firebaord and I am not sure if they are related or not:

Should note that the incorrect forums posts do not even link correctly.

Decided to scrap the integration all together. I don't want the fourm for ech group to be locked completely for non-members, only don't want anyone to be able to post who is not a member.

I had some trouble getting it to work as well. I would either make the topics public in Fireboard and everyone could see it, or I would hide it and the GroupJive integration didn't work.

I believe there are a few links to hacks that increase the number of Joomla Access levels that should allow you accomplish this, though.

Regarding making your forum private, there is an option in the Fireboard Configuration screen where you can do just that. The option is called Registered Users Only in the security section. If you set that to yes, the entire forum is made private and nobody can read or write it.

If you only want to disable public write access, leave Registered Users Only to No and set Public Read/Write to No. (okay, it's labeled a bit incorrectly in my version 1.0.4, but it will disalow public write access).
This will allow you to use the Joomla user access level to control user read/write ability. Anything that is set to "Everyone" access level will be publically visiable (but not writable), and anything set to All Registered or above will only show up to registed users (both read and write ability).

If you want to further control access based on user level (have a moderator forum, for example), select something other than All Registered, but make sure you set the Include Child Groups option to yes (this is in 1.0.4. I don't know if they renamed it or changed the functionality in 1.0.5).

Hope this helps.
