Fireboard on new site help 3 Months, 1 Week ago
Hello All,

Our organization has a website but we are in the process of switching our hosting provider to GoDaddy. On the current site we run Joomlaboard 1.1.2 on Joomla 1.0.12. I have FTP access to the site but that is it. Now on the new site we have Joomla 1.5.6 and I did a "clean" install of Fireboard 1.0.4. I have phpMyAdmin 2.9.1.1 with PHP version 5.0. How do I get the Forum data from the old site onto the new one?

I apologize in advance for my stupidity. I am fairly new to CMS and Joomla and this is also my first time with PHP.

I MUCHLY appreciate any and all help in advance.

I probably should have mentioned that I do have a migration tool installed on both sites. I was able to migrate the Joomla stuff from the old site to the new one. The migration tool I installed didn't migrate third party components. Is there a way to get the data in the forums from the old site onto the new site via FTP? I still don't have server access for the old site.

Thank you,
Rikki

Re:Fireboard on new site help 2 Months, 2 Weeks ago
So I got server access to the old server. I was able to save the two databases for messages and message text and import them into the new server. I tried to do this with the database for categories but I wasn't able to change the descriptions or make any corrections so I just recreated those. We only have three so that wasn't a big deal.
The recent posts show correctly. The forum stats are correct. In the forum box with the three categories the number in the topic column isn't correct. I thought that okay maybe if I just try to start a new thread in each category that would fix it. That didn't work. So I deleted the test threads and that did change the topic count column for each category to 1. Then I thought okay what if I reply to another thread will that change the count. Nope. So how can I get the correct count or number of topics to display for each category. Here is a screenshot if that will help any.

Is there any way to fix this? TIA.
