Hi

I'm trying to integrate Fireboard with CB 1.2 RC2. I can't get Fireboard to turn up when I click the forum tab in User Profile in CB. I get this message:

Simpleboard forum component is not installed. Please contact your site administrator.

How do you link CB with Fireboard?

All the fields have been imported into CB but the two aren't connecting at the front end.

Basically, I need Fireboard to integrate smoothly with CB so that when a user registers through CB they get acces to Fireboard.....

The version of Fireboard I'm using is: v1.0.5RC1_b722_2008-09-16

Any help much appreaciated.

Yeah I just tried to do the same and discovered that so I can confirm the issue. However it is not an error per se in Fireboard. A quick look at the CB-plugin code shows that it looks for a file called "fireboard_config.php" in /administrator/components/com_fireboard/ and since Fireboard now stores the settings in the database that file isn't present. (Correct me if I'm wrong)

Now to the good stuff: Create a file in /administrator/components/com_fireboard/ called fireboard_config.php , it doesn't need to contain anything you just need a file with that name and the CB-plugin will detect your Fireboard installation.

Obviously this needs to be fixed in upcoming versions of the CB-plugin but you can get up and running for now.

Update: it kind of solves it. It shows the users forum posts, but doesn't show:

- Post subscriptions
- Karma
- Post Stats
- etc...

any idea how to get these working too?!!

Found a fix for it...

Update 2:

Don't just put a blank fireboard_config.php into your administrator/components/com_fireboard/

Upload your old fireboard_config.php (backed-up with all the old settings in it from a previous 1.0.x installation) and the CB Fireboard plugin shows all the old data: forum subscriptions, karma, ranking, total posts etc). Worked a treat for me.

Doesn't work on fresh installs as there is no "old" config.php.

As I said earlier this isn't really an issue with Fireboard. Since I don't display postcount, karma and so on my dirty fix was sufficient for me.

However if you want this to be solved I recomend that you hurry over to Joomlapolis and download Community Builder 1.2 RC3. They've changed the plugin code so that it should work with the way Fireboard 1.0.5 stores the settings.
