blimey, doesn't anyone know anything on here? well, I guess that the folder should be writable since I checked other forums and all the folders were writable

YEs I was wondering about this one myself. The default post installation for

images/fbfiles/ and it's subdirectories (avatars, avatars/gallery, categories_images, files, images and gallery/) are 777 surely this is not a good idea?

Would be keen to know what people think. I have changed them to 755 inline with the security guidelines for joomla, but I was wondering if this is a security hole or something that has been done for a particular reason, and if so what is that reason??
