Has not solved the problem. Users need to press F5 to appear login in the forum. When access are login only in the Joomla module but not in the forum.

is legacy plugin after remember me plugin? that's crucial.

What do you mean? Off both plugins and active plugin Legacy first and then remember plugin?

I will try to see if it works.

No, just filter only system plugin and then in order you must have remember me plugin before (with lower number) legacy plugin.

OK I moved up the remember plugin an his order number is greater that Legacy Plugin

Thank you all for the replies. Its good to see I wasnt the only one with this issue. I'm a bit surprised it hand't really been discussed before seeing as its pretty major.

I have applied the patch and switched the order of plugins and will wait until the timeout to see if it worked. If so I will post in the bugtracker to hopefully push the patch into 1.5.8.

Hi Flex, glad you checked this thread again.

I've only been using Joomla, Fireboard and CB a short time, but am amazed at the amount of bugs (though these are with CB or Joomla at the moment) and that no one pushed for this.

Part of the problem is the variety of the error, there are some posts in various joomla, CB and Fireboard forums, some with a topic of remember me, or refresh twice, or login issue. No one has or been able to track it down.

Fortunately, I have some knowledge of PHP, not of Joomla, Fireboard, CB or any other module/component, however it was enough to track it down to the legacy plugin.

Unfortunately, I needed help to continue further, and it was a little bit of a struggle getting help with Joomla (IRC, no, Forums, no), as you can see from the bugtracker, Joomla didn't believe it existed as they thought they would have heard of it.

Fortunately, I believe I gave a good case for why it wouldn't be widespread, except in CB and Fireboard communities, most of those have given up on this error and either set in place a quick double refresh or moved onto other software, or just put up with it.

This fix will hopefully make alot of CB, Fireboard users very happy, or indeed any Joomla 1.5 admin who uses legacy compatible modules that use the user information, it will lose it after the timeout without this fix.

Most will of course go for 1.5 native for their joomla 1.5, so they aren't affected, but those of us going for a while, upgraded from 1.0 or using components that still rely on legacy have struggled with this.

Certainly, it's a momentus fix for Fireboard and CB communities, I'm glad it's finally been fixed, it's been quite frustrating for me, and I hope other's frustrations will also lessen with this patch.

I take it, it's sorted it out for your Flex? Do please reply and tell us, also any other Joomla 1.5 admins reading this, do please post. I think it's important to the Fireboard community to see this.

Perhaps a board mod can sticky it?

I can confirm that this issue happened to me, and with great joy, I found this thread, and it solved my problem!!

BTW, the plugin order, both plugins need to be one after the other, because I had more in between, and it didn't work, but now I've "joined" them in the list and I had success.
