Blank Frontend 3 Months, 1 Week ago
Hello,
I upgrade to the latest version.

Upgrade installed perfectly. I can access backend.
Frontend is blank - even site will not load.
Joomla 1.0.15 - Latest Fireboard.

www.travelshopireland.com - look under myspace menu at top.

Re:Blank Frontend 3 Months ago
I noticed a possible error in the link

This:
www.travelshopireland.com/index.php?opti...d&Itemid=267

Should look more like this:
www.travelshopireland.com/index.php?opti...board&Itemid=267

withough the "amp;"

It didn't seem to resolve the problem when I manually changed the link

Did you manually set up the menu link or use a link to component type ?

This has nothing todo with the FireBoard version and you should not downgrade.

Looks like your links stored in the menu are wrong. Can't see the proper itemids but the way you have setup the menu it seems to pointing into nirvana. You will have to update the links to make it work.

Re:Blank Frontend 3 Months ago
Upgrading to 1.05 is a good idea but the menu link still has error in it:
"=com_fireboard&Itemid=267" the "amp;" is still present and obviously id 267 is wrong.

For example on my site the Forum menu links to "=com_fireboard&itemid=3"

You need to know what the itemid for your board is and fix the link there.

This does not look like a FB issue but a malformed menu item.

Try creating a brand new Menu link to the forum (do not recycle).
you could try to do this on the left .. create a whole new test menu.

This should them get you the correct format for the link and you can edit the top menu as required.

Good luck.

Hi,

I did that again.

I created a NEW menu item to the fireboard component using the left menu:
This is what the link looks like when you click on it.
www.travelshopireland.com/index.php?opti...oard&Itemid=1192

The url format looks good.
So I am stumped.

Thanks Glenn

Re:Blank Frontend 2 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Hi,
Anyone got a solution?

Could it be the server: PHP magic_quotes_gpc setting is `OFF` instead of `ON`

I am loosing google listings - I have over 13 000 threads.

It has been off for a week??

Help please

Did you find a solution to this?
I did a new install, it went perfectly, linked to a menu, but it just opens a blank window.
Cindy

- I tried removing it, and re-installing from the joomlacode URL link, as I read elsewhere, and no change
- my config settings were still there on re-install
- PHP magic_quotes_gpc setting is `ON`
