Ok, I've searched the forums here for 5 days & found a few similar issues, yet different. They didn't really address my problem.

I've been using a combination of: Fireboard 1.0.3 / Joomla 1.0.13 / CB 1.1 / Jom Comment 3.0 build 553 / Myblog 1.2 build 231 / UddeIM 1.4

Here's the problem:

Guests can click on my direct forum URL & view the forums fine with no issues. The problem arises when a guest logs in as a member.

1.) When a member goes from the home page to the fireboard home page it resolves in a Blank Screen & the bottm left of the browser indicates (Stopped).
2.) Refreshing is futile & remains on the same blank screen.
3.) The url in the browsers box is the correct location of the Fireboard.
4.) The only way to get the board to work is clicking (BACK BROWSER once) by doing that it lands you on fireboard home page. (Note: Url in browser is still the same as when the page was blank.)
5.) I tried logging in and accessing sub-boards directly & it does the same thing.
6.) This issue only happens the first time the boards are visited after a fresh login.
7.) Viewing source of the blank page proves to also be blank, no code at all.

I'm not a developer & clueless really as how to resolve this issue. Somehow fireboard is auto refreshing & getting caught in a blank cache state which can only be undone by going back a page in the browser. (That's my non-developer view anyways)

Maybe a Session ID conflict from Joomla/CB to Fireboard?

Is that not mind blowing to anyone else but me?

At any rate, any help would be deeply appreciated, I've been toying with this site on & off for a little over 2 years now & can't launch it until all the little bugs are fixed like this one.

Further testing has shown that I can login while on the fireboard main page & it loads fine with session id. This blank page error seems to be isolated to off forum login. Any other page besides the forum itself that I login to sends me to a blank page with no code once I try to go to the forums.

this isn't much progress in solving the issue, but I hope it helps narrow the issue down a bit for all of you developers.

I'm surprised nobody has been able to help me on this issue yet. I figured it might be something simple compared to all the other issues found on these boards.

Just a bit more testing has revealed that, If I leave the fireboard & go to other pages of the site, then return to the fireboard, I get the Blank page with no code again. I've got the time down to between 15-30 minutes which indicates a session cookie (ID) issue again.

I can surf the whole site after being on the fireboard & return fine as long as it is within the 15-30 minute span, anything over that results in the blank page again.

Everything is pointing to a session ID conflict still. I'm still not sure how to fix it though. I am truly hoping that someone can help me here.

I'll change my thread title from: Fireboard Main Page Blank after logging in To Session ID conflicts & see if that helps target developers for assistance. In the mean time I'll search the boards for more session ID related problems to see if anyone else has a similar issue with that search phrase.

EDITED: Ok after searching for a few different Session ID phrases & returned no results (other than this thread), I am relying on this thread solely for assistance.

I was hoping to get a little closer to paying for advertising this month. With the current issue, theirs no way I can do that. I might have to start researching other forum alternatives if this problem turns out to be so major that a fix is not available.

PROBLEM SOLVED

Upgraded from 1.0.3 to 1.0.5 & the issue went away. I ran into several upgrade issues though & ended up having to install a partial file & then manually upload via ftp the rest. All in all, its working fine know.
