bug: forums marked registered users not showing.. 5 Months, 1 Week ago  
I have many forums marked for "registered users" amazingly when logged in as a registered user only a few of them show up! Is this a known bug? And a strange bug at that since some but not all show up!

If I log in as a super admin I see all the forums but the fact remains that a registered user should see all the forums!


Been through it a dozen times and some identically marked forums show up and others dont't.

I believe we have fixed this issue in the new upcoming 1.0.5 version. We are getting close to posting a release candidate.

one request though.... You could tell us what the heck "FireBoard_1.0.4_Stable_PatchFiles" are and what the heck you do with them.

Are they something that you copy into the directories after 1.0.4 to update it?
It is something you copy into directories on top of earlier versions to update them?

WTF? Why do we have to guess on things like this?


There is NO documentation and my guesses have been wrong so far.

Up until 1.0.4 you had to choose whether to perform a fresh install or a semi manual upgrade. The patch files are for the upgrade but contain exactly the same version as the full install, just in a directory structure that can be amnually copied over an existing FB install.

This changes dramatically with 1.0.5 and all future releases. There will be 1 and only 1 package that performs both fresh installs as well as upgrades. See more details here:

Hello,

I have the same problems with registered users. They can't see the forums marked as "registered users".

Please could you tell us, in which file from the svn the bug is solved?

Without this I can't use fireboard.

Sorry but you cannot use 1.0.5 svn files with 1.0.4

You c an already use the beta versions we have posted. Expect to cut the 1.0.5RC1 this weekend if possible.
