I installed the 1.0.5NB10 on Joomla 1.5.6 site (Apache 2, PHP 5.2.6, MySQL 5.0.45) yesterday. I first tried with this procedure:
1) installed the fbconverter, it did it's gig without errors and I uninstalled it
2) installed the 1.0.5NB10 package, no errors
3) checked and saved settings, checked menu links
And there was a problem: when I click the menu link to the forum I get blank page if error reporting is of and this if it's on:

The forum is unused so I unstalled the component and dropped tables (everything begining with jos_fb_). Then I reinstalled the forum package, but this time got an error about the config table creation and the problem persists. Any ideas?

Id really want to use the rc1 when its released one thing what is stopping is aproblem Im having, right now my single forum spead across all my different sites, I have one forum, with 1.0.4 I changed all the apropriate #__ default prefixes to jos_, so the sub sites can access the forum this works fine with no problems.

I solved the problem with extra space before some skandi letters.

In FireBoard Configuration there is 'eBay widget language code' under 'BBCode'. There is english(en) as default. I simply changed that finnish(fi) and (not wanted) extra space before ö and ä letters just vanished.

Strange thing but that helped.

EDIT: I was totally wrong. It wasn´t BBCode afterall. It is something to do in 'Various length settings'.

If 'Wrap Words Longer Than' = any number > 0 --> some words with ö,ä,å and so on breaks.
If 'Wrap Words Longer Than' = 0 --> All words are fine.

If I set 'fi' as regioncode, I still can't reproduce this error with spaces but the ebay-widgets aren't displayed.

@fxstein: In the backend the menuitem "BBCode" is missing in the navigationbar.

Could you edit with Notepad a text encoded with UTF8 and attached this to your post, so that I can use it for some tests?

I noticed too, that this board there is no problem. At the same time that I changed 'eBay widget language code' I also Recaunted stats. Never done that before after uptade. So that might have helped too. In any case I´m happy that my problem is past now.
