Just posted the first production build of 1.0.5 on joomlacode.org/gf/project/fireboard/frs/

We are working on a more detailed changelog and will post that in the next couple of days.
This build contains various SQL and other fixes.
NEW bbcode config settings
NEW Parser features: trim long URLs (no need for a mambot any longer - can be switched off)
NEW auto embed features: convert most youtube and ebay urls into embedded flash player (can be switched off)
NEW My Discussions tab for default_ex: See you favorites and all threads you ever replied to
Major SQL improvements - Cut 30-40% of SQL calls on Recent Discussions and new My DIscussions tabs
Major rework: Forum permissions check re-written. Saves SQL calls and should work all over the board including search.
New little feature: You can embed eBay items just like videos inside a user post.
We have also added an initial version of a Dev Team Credits page. This will be updated for the final release.
New hide and spoiler tag implementation
Legacy config file support - in addition to the database config, an old style config file is created
Message text tooltips for default_ex on recent discussions and categories
Various CSS and template fixes for default_ex - template scales now in various sizes
Spoiler tag added to editor toolbar
Update category stats after bulk move and delete
RSS browser auto detection
More bbcode purification for video and ebay tags e.g. in tooltips
1.0.x SEF problem with page ankers fixed
Fixed slash in signature
fbsession optimizations
broken default_ex tabs in IE and Opera fixed
Re-written autolink detection - 4 regex collapsed into 1
Multiple selections for deleting smilied and ranks enabled (backend)
Fixed parser issue with extra non tag related in text - caused famous doubling of post text
Moved topic - ghost message no longer shown in category view
Team credits page updated

... and so much more. FYI we have now done over 700 builds for 1.0.5 so far

Overall we have put several hundred hours into 1.0.5 so far. We have fixed several hundred bugs - from minor to major. This is by far the best release of FireBoard ever.

Thanks a lot in your help testing all those pre-builds! Please make sure you share all the versions of products/packages you are using when reporting a problem. Most issues are related to specific versions and are virtually impossible to find without that.

I have a Problem withh the rss, see in picture.

Everything runs fine with RC1.

But the bug with @ in a link ([url]http://user: This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it /[/url] is still there. I think it's something different than special characters in the link, because @ is <2^7



If there is still anybody interested in the PostProcessing-tweak: The file in the NB10-thread is deprecated. I attached the method for RC1 here.
Just replace the original function postProcessing in fireboard.interpreter.inc.php with the one in the attached file.



@kingBT: confirmed for Firefox. It's the content of the description-tag. I guess it's wanted.
IE7 doesn't show it.

After installing new FB my joomla admin became inaccessible with a 500 error.

This is because rights for the admin folder where changed to 777, that is not permitted on shared hosting by my host (siteground)

Solution: CHMOD files again, max to 755.

But would be better if this doesn't even happen

@kingBT: My patch has nothing to do with RSS. It wasn' addressed to you but to everyone who where interested in this patch in NB10.

This issue with "com_fireboard" can be solved in fb_rss.php I think. look for "<title> ... </title>".

I'm not sure what's wrong with this YouTube-stuff. What do you expect?
