Hello. After i upgraded from 1.0.4 to 1.0.5 i see this problem:

I need that on the forum only the real names to be shown. In 1.0.4 if you have set:

User Related
Username No

The real name will be shown in: forum board and on last post (by realname!)

Seems that in 1.0,5 the conenction is broken. Real Name is shown only in Board Disccution but in Last Post by (username) its not displayed. Also please fix the Online Members and who is viewing the forum to show by username or name because right now its show only by username.
Another thing will be to add an opttion to show or not User type "Jedi|Cypher (Admin)".

But right now the Username thing its the most urgent thing.

Please fix it in next release. If i knew how, i have fixed myself!

This is now fixed and will be part of the next build later tonight.

I have tested with both default and default_ex as well as the plugins you mentioned.

IN ADDITION

I have added new functionality to Recount Category Stats in the backend - if the name display gets changed in the configuration, the name information inside of individual messages gets updated to reflect the current setting of username or realname

PS: Please make sure you also set the correct Show Author setting for the recent post plugin. It needs to be set to 1 for username and 2 for real name.

Hope this helps!

Re:1.0.5RC1 uploaded and published 3 Months ago
easy way to edit the template so i can show the pages behind the 'categories' tab and the 'recent discussions' tab on the very same page, one below the other ?
( 'recent discussions' sitting below 'categories' .... )

no easy way to do this. .... neat idea though, except that you create a pretty 'expensive' page with lots of data having to come from the database. Need to think about this for 2.0

What about a FB view stripped of headers and footers wrapped in a module?

Everything is possible, it just takes time to write it. Maybe you can find a developer to help you with this project. RIght now my time does not permit taking on another endeavor.

Sorry about that.

Great! Given that I ran into this tonight that's a very quick response time

Could you say which files in the SVN are changed to solve this? Then I can just upload those only leaving my modified installation intact..

why still there are no stable release

Because some of you have found more issues to fix. I prefer to fix as many of them as possible. The new ones that come up are becoming less and less obvious, some are very old, dating back many moons (aka releases).

RC2 will go out tonight and will have most of the latest newly found issues fixed.

If no new major ones appear, it can become final within 2 weeks or so.

Hope this helps!

i also encountered the same error message as johnnydement when browsing members profile from "User Administration" tab:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in home/***/public_html/libraries/joomla/html/html/select.php on line 68

any idea on how to solve it?

thanks.

I am unable to re-produce this warning. What version of Joomla are you running, what build of FB, what version of PHP and MySQL?

Thx!

Several files had to be changed for that. Check out SVN #1064 for the name display fixes and SVN #1063 for the modified recount category stats feature.

Hope this helps!
