hello, and congratulations for the new 1.0.5 version.

i had been sceptical at first, but there really are a lot of great improvements in this version. very nice work, thank you !!

One thing im unsure about is how to proceed with the minor upgrades between the different RC builds (preserving the settings and all).
Would that just be uninstall and reinstall?

Another doubt is this:
I noticed that there were a lot of important SEO/SEF improvements, to name just the 'latest post' link in the main view.
The links coming from the recent posts plugin - (/components/com_fireboard/template/default/plugin/recentposts/), however, are still working as in 1.0.4 (because the plugin still uses the old method, i guess).
Its not a major deal, as this plugin can be disabled in the backend and since the 'latest posts' (latestx.php) in the forum header menu makes for a nice 'substitute'.

I would like to either ...
modify the recent posts plugin so it produces the same URLs as those built by latestx.php,

im guessing that these instructions refer to hwo to do this: ttp://www.bestofjoomla.com/component/option,co...ew/id,59172/catid,9/
but they are over my head

or ...
to modify the default template so the 'latest posts' (handled by latestx.php) appear at the bottom of the main forum view, in the same place where the 'recent posts' plugin appears when its activated.

could anyone set me on the right track with this, please ?

thanks a bunch
d
